Transcript: S2 Crowdfund Announcement
Leanne:
Hello everyone! Leanne again, bothering you one last time for an update as we move forward with Season 2. In my last update, I promised you all that when our crowdfund went live, I’d let you know on this feed. Well, it’s live! We’ve launched our Season 2 crowdfund page on Indiegogo, and it’ll be there until the 31st of July to help ensure our cast get paid what they deserve. And, hoo boy, do we have a cast for you this season. If you’re already following us on Twitter and Tumblr, you’ll have seen that we’ve begun spotlighting our new and returning Season 2 cast. If you’re not already following us, go ahead and find those links in the show notes, because we’re very excited about the talented voice actors we’ve got on board.
Because of a few delays to getting this announcement out, at the time of recording, our crowdfund has been live for about a week, and we’re already at 40% of our goal, which is truly astounding. Despite a lot of stress and anxiety, it looks like hitting our goal is a genuine possibility, and we’ve got some exciting perks if you’d like to help us make it a reality.
Some of those perks include Tell No Tales mugs, stickers and character art, better place case files, a short story about a season one ghost of your choice, or the chance to work with me to turn your idea for a ghost into a Tell No Tales bonus episode. You’ll find the Indiegogo link in the show notes, and if you can’t afford to contribute then there are other ways to help. Spreading the word about the podcast and the crowdfund helps enormously. Things like leaving us a rating and a review wherever you can, or yelling about us on social media. Anything you can do helps us achieve our goal of bringing you the best possible version of Season 2 that we can. And we really are planning a fantastic season for you.
We’re planning on releasing the first episode of Season 2 in October this year, but our feed won’t be silent in the meantime. There’s a season one recap in the works, as well as season one bloopers, and potentially some bonus episodes along the way. Thank you so much to everyone listening for helping us make this show, it’s much easier to tell a story when you know that people are listening. And thank you to everyone who was able to help with the crowdfunding anyway. I genuinely can’t express quite how grateful I am for the support this little tale has found, so instead I’ll simply say thank you again, and remind you that the dead don’t bite.
